Organza favour bags — pack of 100

A pack of 100 sheer synthetic organza bags, about 13 × 18 cm, closed by a double satin-ribbon drawstring that pulls shut from both sides in one movement, with no knot to tie. These hold the toz3iyat, the small gifts the bride sends round to the guests during the tasdira: sugared almonds, a miniature perfume, a soap, a tealight or a small piece of jewellery — the organza shows what is inside, which is half the effect. The machta fills a hundred the night before, stores them flat in a crate, then hands them out or carries them on a siniya when the bride comes out. The colour is the only decision to make: it is what ties the bags to the rest of the room.
