The piece
A pack of 10 chair sashes in 100% polyester satin, glossy on the face and matt on the back, hemmed on all four sides — 15 to 20 cm wide by 270 to 300 cm long, the trade's own cut. Watch the vocabulary, because these are two articles at two prices: the sash is the satin band tied over the chair back, the cover is the stretch sleeve it goes over, and the cover is not included here. The sash dresses the bride's throne and the chairs at the top table through the tasdira; it is retied between outfit changes, and it is what carries the evening's colour when the covers and the tablecloths are white. It washes and comes back for the next wedding: a pack of 10 covers the throne, the two mothers' chairs and the front row, and a whole room is ordered in multiples of 10 in one colour.
