The piece
A ring cushion and its presentation box, sold matched in one colour. The cushion is wadded satin or velvet with two ribbons stitched at the centre, one for each ring; the rigid velvet-covered box holds them between one moment of the night and the next. This is the piece for the fatiha: the machta carries it out on a siniya, the rings stay tied to it through the photographs and the presentation to both families, and the box goes home with the couple afterwards.
