Rhinestone evening minaudière — gold-tone

The minaudière is the bride's rigid evening clutch: the one she keeps in her hand through the tasdira, and the one the family packs into the trousseau beside the shoes, or slips in among the henna-night gifts. A rigid shell with rounded corners, covered all over in faceted glass chips set close together, gold-tone and clear mixed, on a gold-tone metal frame that opens in two halves and closes with a push clasp at the centre. The gold-tone chain clips to the two rings on the frame with lobster hooks: wear it on the shoulder, or take it off to hold the minaudière in the hand. It is neither precious metal nor crystal: glass and a plated frame, under our own label. One colour only, gold-tone, to go with the gold jewellery of the outfit.

Care

Do not rub the chips or lay it face down on a hard surface; wipe the frame with a soft dry cloth; store it on its own, chain taken off and laid beside it, in a fabric bag so nothing scratches or catches the chips.
