The piece
Three pieces in a rigid box: the necklace, the pair of earrings and the forehead piece the Algerian trade calls khit errouh. Gold- or rhodium-plated brass, set cubic zirconia, a 40 to 45 cm necklace with an extender chain and lobster clasp. In the tasdira the machta puts on the necklace and earrings for the white gown and the evening gown, then takes the parure back for the next change; the khit errouh is worn directly on the forehead with the karakou, the Tlemcen chedda, the blouza or the gandoura. The box is not shipping packaging: it is there to present the parure to the family and to store it between changes.
